Support sustainable restaurants / cafes

We waste one third of the food created for consumption. As much as that portion is food waste is largely a behavioral problem that we can easily fix with a few steps such as understanding restaurant portions, and planning out foods and carefully shop out produce.  have learned over decades of places trying to provide the finest services. This often meant having the largest proportions on a plate and to go pieces.

Similar water levels go to a pound of chicken (576 gallons).

The idea overall is to shrink the portions that can be produced per week.

Buy your food in bulk

Besides the fact that it saves you money, you are also reducing the amount of plastic seals being used. Reducing the packaging leaves less material in the food world. This will also save travel time on the weekends or last minute shopping. You win time, save money, and use less packaging. Often more sustainable these places have reusable cases such as glass containers to hold food.

Buy from your local provider

There is nothing wrong with craving tropical fruit while living in a nordic country. However, supporting your local farmers keeps money flowing throughout your community. This limits the amount in cash flow that goes to larger companies which don’t invest directly into your local community. Turn the water faucet off

This is what can be classified as “careless waste” or waste. Watching your shower time, turning off the sink while brushing your teeth, or to not leave the sink running while you wash your dishes.  In an average home showers are responsible for the largest water use following toilets. A standard flow shower head can use 2.5 gallons a minute, adding up to 25 gallons after just ten minutes.

We all like to be clean, just try to limit the time while the water is running.
